What a nice place. That was our first thought on entering the grounds of the Charité hospital. It doesn’t look like a hospital at all. Within the beautiful old buildings lies the Berlin Museum of Medical History, among other institutions. With views of the Hauptbahnhof and Canal it is also located in the heart of Berlin.
There we met Prof. Dr. Thomas Schnalke, doctor and head of the museum. Of course, I was feeling a little apprehensive about this date, because I knew it might be a rather stomach-churning experience. But the exhibition turned out to be simply fascinating. Its motto is: On the Trace of Life.
The exhibition deals with unbelievably exciting topics every day and tells true stories. If you want to find out more, just drop in or visit: http://www.bmm-charite.de/
