Berlin is authentic

The last few hours of our surprise day took us through the eastern districts of Berlin. We discovered many curious finds and simply immersed ourselves in the feeling of the metropolis. What a great time we had!

To round off the day, we took a few snaps in a nostalgic photo booth in memory of our tour. Funnily enough, we had already noticed the photo booth before our last SMS. It stands out immediately due to its old-fashioned appearance, and we were amazed that it hadn’t long fallen victim to urban renewal. And we were all the more surprised that it still actually works! So we headed off to test the booth’s fun factor and photo quality. Apart from a 5-minute wait until it finally spat out the photos, we awarded it top marks in both categories. Great black-and-white pictures! It even has its own website:

Our wonderful time here in Berlin is coming to an end. So we wish to thank everybody who made this adventure possible and gave us their support! Of course, we would particularly like to mention the Berlin Convention Office, CIM trade journal and our professor Dr. Astrid Mühlböck.

Thank you very much for reading our blog and sharing the excitement!

Wonderful sofas

Christine and I are now both sitting on one of these wonderful girly sofas and have managed to keep silent for all of eight and a half minutes.

In other words, we are feeling totally chilled out! Café am Engelbecken is simply an oasis of relaxation.

An amazing story!

Our surprise day takes us to Bethaniendamm. We are lost for words to write this story. The story of Osman Kalin.

Somehow I neither know where to start nor where to finish. So just watch the videos and read the article by the pros. I can only tell you that a lot of courage, heart and passion play an important role in this story!

Totally tasty!

Here’s another experience we’ve just got to share with you. Just opposite the Mauerpark you will find “amie”. We decided to take a little break there because we needed to recharge our laptop battery, but this place was a completely unexpected find! This city just seems to be full of surprises! Nice people, home-made lemonade (delicious), suuuuper-scrumptious cake and sweets, plus an amazingly beautiful interior. :) Just check it out, it’s definitely worth a visit!! Eberswalderstraße 1

Berlin Scouts go crazy :)

After buying a load of healthy nosh in Europe’s largest organic supermarket, we head to Berlin’s Mauerpark to enjoy our little lunch break. All the food we got tasted absolutely delicious, some of it was stuff we just wanted to try and for that we sought a cosy spot in the Mauerpark.

This is truly a hidden gem, as we had never heard of this park before, and it made us feel positively euphoric. But see for yourself and share a laugh!

Fun and games

Wow, we feel just like kids again! The first highlight of the Computerspielemuseum (Computer Games Museum) seems to be more something for the boys but we still had lots of fun. You can look forward to meeting Donkey Kong and Pac Man; but you will also find The Sims and other novel games there. :)

Just check it out for yourself. You’ll also meet popular German TV host Thomas Gottschalk and can see his first TV show “die Telespiele”. This museum has something for everybody :D
